A Benchmarking analysis of analytical and advanced nonlinear tracking control techniques

Abstract

In this study, we have made a comparison between two advanced techniques used for controlling the non-linear systems, thereby ensuring a higher tracking control performance. We compared the Non-Linear Gain Scheduling (NLGS) and neural control approaches in our study. We obtained the NLGS approach after combining the feedback linearization scheme with the gain scheduling technique. The next approach was a form of advanced nonlinear control technique, which was a form of the neural networking process.

Both these approaches were applied for controlling the photovoltaic system that is known to be a highly non-linear model. We carried out a performance evaluation for understanding the pros and cons of the two approaches.
